Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso may leave Renault
Spanish Formula One driver Fernando Alonso has explained to the press that he can leave his current team Renault at the end of this season.
Fernando Alonso, 26, after a year with McLaren, had gone back to Renault but he has since had a poor start to the season.
Spanish newspaper As quoted Fernando Alonso as saying: "I'm at Renault because I wanted to get back to winning, like in 2005 and 2006, if not this year then next year. But I have an option to leave so I can be in the best possible car, and it is clear Ferrari is one of the best."
When Fernando Alonso went back to signing with Renault last winter, many people thought that he would only stay for one year before he would move to another team. Fernando Alonso's recent comments confirm that he is apparently free to leave after a year with Renault.
