Ron Dennis sad to see Kimi Raikkonen struggle
McLaren owner Ron Dennis says it saddens him to watch former McLaren driver Kimi Raikkonen struggling as part of the Ferrari team.
"Kimi is a friend, and I've seen him struggle with problems," said Ron Dennis, who had been Kimi Raikkonen's boss for five years.
Ron Dennis added: "I see him as a friend, not a competitor, and seeing a friend in pain gives me no pleasure at all."
Kimi Raikkonen's new career move looked a lot better when he won the Australian Grand Prix in March on his Ferrari, however, McLaren's team of reigning world champion Fernando Alonso and rookie Lewis Hamilton caused him to only take third place in both Malaysia and Bahrain.
Kimi Raikkonen was also forced to retire from the Spanish GP and a crash during qualifying at Monaco caused him big problems as McLaren's drivers won the race.
