Red Bull Formula One driver Mark Webber struggles with new car
Red Bull Formula One driver Mark Webber claims he has had problems with the new car and that changes have been made in readiness for this week's testing in Bahrain.
The new car is the first Formula One machine designed by Adrian Newey for Red Bull, and a main problem has been that a tall driver like Mark Webber has had trouble getting into the car. Adrian Newey's unwillingness to compromise in his bid for the best aerodynamic perfection has caused him to design cars that are very compact and unsuitable for drivers who are too big.
Mark Webber, who is more than 6ft tall, said: "Both David (Coulthard) and I had a bit to say when we first drove the car."
After hearing Mark Webber's complaint, Red Bull have produced a new seat in the hope that Webber can now fit into the car properly.
