Motor racing legend Graham Hill stolen bust found

hill A bronze bust of the late racing legend Graham Hill, which had been stolen from the British Racing Drivers' Club at Silverstone, Northamptonshire, has been recovered, it has been reported.

The Graham Hill bust was discovered in a house on Beverley Road, Little Lever, in Bolton.

The stolen sculpture was found after a search warrant was granted following a joint investigation by Greater Manchester Police and Northamptonshire Police.

A suspect aged-47 has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and handling stolen goods and he has been detained in custody.

The Graham Hill bust will be going home to Silverstone after formal identification checks have been made.

Stuart Pringle, secretary of the British Racing Drivers' Club, is reported to have said: "We actually commissioned another bust a few years ago, but will put that somewhere else on the site once we have returned the original one to its rightful place."
