Midland managing director Colin Kolles aims for Formula One success
The managing director of Midland, Colin Kolles, said that his team has
"serious intentions" for success in Formula One but admits they will
have to be realistic about the matter.
Midland took over the Jordan team in 2005 and this season will be the first under Midland.
"We have invested a great deal into building a brand-new car," Colin Kolles said.
"But we have to remain realistic about the challenge we face in the
sport as a private team against the world's top motor manufacturers."
Tiago Monteiro and Christijan Albers will be driving the Toyota-powered car, launched on Friday, for the 2006 season.
"It has been an exciting, sometimes bumpy ride since we accelerated our
plans and became involved in Formula One a year earlier than expected.
"The new car is 100% a product of Midland - solid proof of our serious intentions," Colin Kolles also said.
