Lewis Hamilton tries new McLaren car in Portugal
British Formula One racing driver Lewis Hamilton has just tried out the new McLaren car when he finished 81 laps on a test drive in Portugal.
23-year-old Hamilton came third fastest overall following a slight problem he experienced with the car's engine.
The tests for the new McLaren vehicle were Hamilton's first time back behind the wheel since he had won the Formula One title at the Brazilian Grand Prix last year.
Hamilton, who is the current world champion in Formula One, said he felt good to be back again and that he was happy enough with the new racing car.
He pointed out though that his immediate future, and that of his team, is looking very busy already.
Toro Rosso driver Sebastien Buemi was the fastest of the day, and he finished almost two seconds ahead of runner-up Nico Rosberg in the Williams who just pipped Hamilton.
