Lewis Hamilton looks forward to British Grand Prix
UK Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton is satisfied with the improvements to his McLaren and he says he is looking forward to next weekend's British Grand Prix.
Hamilton explained: "The changes we've made have really improved the car which feels strong around here. I can't wait to be racing in front of my home crowd again."
As many as 10,000 motorsport fans went to Thursday's final test at Silverstone in readiness for the 6 July race, and provided Lewis Hamilton with a taste of what lies ahead.
Hamilton wants to put the recent past behind him after two disappointing races in France and Canada where he suffered penalties. At the Silverstone test drive he claimed the fastest time of the week with a lap of one minute 19.170 seconds.
Lewis Hamilton will be back on Friday whe he practises again in front of a 65,000 strong crowd, and then in front of 85,000 on Saturday for qualifying, and finally a crowd of 90,000 when the Grand Prix takes place.
