Jenson Button hits back at Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone
Honda driver Jenson Button has hit back at Formula One legendary boss Bernie Ecclestone after he was reported to have accused him of failing to give his all.
Bernie Ecclestone, 75, suggested Jenson Button lacked dedication and that most of his success on the track was from taking advantage of the misfortune of others.
"I read that I don't work hard enough. That's not true," said Jenson Button.
"You have to look at the facts, which he hasn't done, because I've done more miles than anyone in testing," Jenson Button added.
Bernie Ecclestone also accused jenson Button, who this season won his first race in six years, of lacking the motivation of other drivers like Michael Schumacher.
"There's no fact there to say I don't put the effort in - I put a lot of effort in," Jenson Button said.
Jenson Button has beaten all other drivers in the last five races, and with seven-time champion Michael Schumacher retired next season, the British driver says he thinks he will be a serious title contender.
