German racing driver Timo Glock to join Toyota
German racing driver Timo Glock has left BMW Sauber where he was a reserve driver after he won a chance to join with Formula One rival team Toyota next season.
Timo Glock, 25,who will join along with Jarno Trulli of Italy, already has experience of Formula One racing and has driven in four races for Jordan in 2004.
Toyota Racing chief Tadashi Yamashina explained one reason they are glad to welcome him to their team: "Timo has great motorsport experience in several different categories,"
A happy Timo Glock said: "It's a great feeling to be a Formula One driver again."
Timo Glock has signed a multi-year contract, and he is reported to have been chased by Toyota for several months.
Last week, Timo Glock was given the all clear by BMW Sauber to go ahead and become a full-time driver at Toyota, where he takes over from fellow German Ralf Schumacher.
