France's Alexandre Premat wins twice in the A1 Grand Prix
Alexandre Premat won both races in the Malaysian round of the A1 Grand Prix championship to tighten France's grip on the title.
Alexandre Premat, who has shared the French drive with Nicolas
Lapierre, made it eight consecutive wins for his country, who now are
in the lead by 27 points from Switzerland.
Britain's Robbie Kerr had to retire when a jammed wheel nut ended his
duel with Swiss Neel Jani for second place and Czech Tomas Enge bounced
back from a poor qualifying session to take third place.
Alexandre Premat was rejoicing after his double put France firmly in
control of the championship before the next round in Dubai.
"It was a superb weekend for us. The car was fast from the first lap and I knew I could push hard," Alexandre Premat said.
