Formula One head Bernie Ecclestone to take action
Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone has promised that he will not sit by and watch the motorsport break apart due to an ongoing row.
Eight F1 teams have threatened to form a breakaway series in protest at Max Mosley and the motorsport's governing body the FIA and the problem that has not been resolved.
78-year-old Ecclestone, however, thinks that there is a solution to the trouble between the Formula One Teams Association (Fota) and the FIA.
The Times newspaper quoted Ecclestone as saying: "I am sure as hell not going to let things disintegrate."
Fota is representing eight out of the 10 motorsport teams, including Ferrari, McLaren and Brawn GP but it is in a state of disagreement with FIA president Max Mosley over how he is running things.
Fota also says it is going to be appointing a new administrator.
