Formula One champ Fernando Alonso says goodbye to Renault
Spanish Formula One driver Fernando Alonso has bid farewell to Renault personnel before joining McLaren.
Fernando Alonso, 25, made a goodbye visit to Renault's Viry-Chatillon factory near Paris where the team's Formula One engines are manufactured.
"Thanks to you, I have had an amazing engine," Fernando Alonso told staff who had helped Renault to the constructors' title ahead of Ferrari.
"The V10 last year and the V8 this year were fantastic," Fernando Alonso added.
Fernando Alonso gained his second consecutive drivers' championship in Brazil this month.
Last week he went to the team's Enstone factory in Oxfordshire to say another farewell.
"I am now moving on to another team as you know," Fernando Alonso told staff, adding:"But if I don't have the possibility to win in the future, then I hope you win because you are the best."
