Former racing driver Michael Schumacher attends Grand Prix
Retired racing driver and legend Michael Schumacher will be attending the Spanish Grand Prix and it will mark his first attendance at such an event since his retirement last year.
Michael Schumacher is expected to be at the Spanish Grand Prix as an advisor to Ferrari, a team with whom he had won five of his seven world titles.
Michael Schumacher will arrive on Friday at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya and welcoming his arrival Ferrari driver Felipe Massa said: "I'm very happy about it, and he will surely be able to give us an extra boost and enthusiasm."
Michael Schumacher has been spending time with his family since he retired, but kept in touch with the sport by watching all the races on television.
Michael Schumacher has also been promoting road safety with motorsport's governing body, the FIA, as well as just last week joining the Emirates Team New Zealand yacht in Valencia, Spain, where the qualifying stages for the America's Cup are taking place.
