F1 Chinese Grand Prix - Shanghai, China 2005
Sunday 16th October 2005 will see the final round of this year's
formula 1 motor racing championship. The driver's championship has
already been claimed by Renault's Fernando Alonso but the constructor's
championship will be decided here in China. Renault currently leads
McLaren-Mercedes by two points so competition will be fierce to say the
least.
The circuit at Shanghai is only just over a year old and is loved by
the drivers and teams. The facilities are first class and the track
(designed by Tilke) is a masterpiece with many overtaking
possibilities. There are so many things happening to formula one next
year, China marks the last race for the Sauber Petronas Team in its
current form and for Peter Sauber as a Team Principal, BAR will become
Honda and Jordan will be known as Midland. On top of this there'll be
the new engine size and configuration for the top teams; it's rumoured
that BAR-Honda will have a new 2006 spec engine in one of their cars.
There's so much to look forward to at the Chinese Grand Prix 2005 at
Shanghai, rest assured that we'll bring you a race report.
