BMW Sauber to keep Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica
The BMW Sauber motor racing team have decided to keep drivers Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica for the season next year.
Nick Heidfeld, 30, who comes from Germany, will go forward to his third campaign with the team and driver Robert Kubica, 22, from Poland has been granted a second full season.
Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica have been improving their performance and record due to BMW Sauber's improvements in 2007, and Nick Heidfeld has gained two podiums.
BMW motorsport director Mario Theissen said: "Nick and Robert have delivered very strong performances."
And he went on to add: "Thanks to Nick's extensive experience he is making a substantial contribution to the progress of the team.
"Robert is a rough diamond we want to polish up into a winning driver."
Robert Kubica is the first Polish driver to contest Formula One racing and he said: "I am learning new things every day and making steady progress."
