Alain Prost thinks McLaren are taking risks
One time Formula One world champion Alain Prost thinks that McLaren are taking serious risks by giving Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso equal status in their ranks.
British racing driver Lewis Hamilton has received equal billing with Fernando Alonso now but Alain Prost says it could come back on them and he explained: "I think it's a mistake to have two cars of the same status in the same team."
Alain Prost, who speaks from personal experience after his strained relationship with team-mate Ayrton Senna in the 1980s, added: "In the end it will work against them because it creates too many tensions."
Between them, McLaren drivers Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna won 15 of the 16 races in the 1988 championship, with Ayrton Senna declared champion, but in 1989 Alain Prost won the title amid controversy following a collision with Senna.
