Venus Williams to face sister Serena in Wimbledon finals

venus williamsUS tennis star Serena Williams will be playing against her sister Venus in Saturday's Wimbledon final after defeating her Russian opponent Elena Dementieva.

Serena beat Dementieva with a 6-7 (4-7) 7-5 8-6 score in an epic match that lasted two hours and 48 minutes, making it the longest women's semi-final game in Wimbledon's history.

Venus Williams had been playing against Dinara Safina but the game was a clear-cut 6-1 6-0 victory and a total contrast with the long battle her sister had fought.

The Williams sisters face each other on Saturday in their fourth Wimbledon final.

Venus will be aiming for her sixth title, and Serena is hoping to win her third.

Whilst it is a wonderful success for Serena and Venus to have got this far at Wimbledon, and whilst they have played each other in the past, it is bound to make the task of winning a bit more difficult for them.
