US tennis star Serena Williams beats Belgian Justine Henin

serena American tennis star Serena Williams thrashed world number one Belgian player Justine Henin in the quarter-finals of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.

Serena Williams beat Justine Henin with a no doubts who the winner was 6-2 6-0 score.

Serena Williams next faces Svetlana Kuznetsova in the semis after the Russian 2006 tennis champion defeated her sister Venus Williams 6-4 6-4.

Serena Williams had lost in her past three encounters with Justine Henin, at last year's French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open, but that didn't influence her performance at all, and after she missed out on converting three break points in the opening game there was little chance for a struggling Justine Henin, who made five double-faults including one on match point.

After the match Justine Henin admitted her mistakes and said: "I was too defensive, for sure."
