Tim Henman to retire from tennis after Davis Cup
Tennis star Tim Henman has announced he will retire from the sport after Britain's Davis Cup clash with Croatia next month because of ongoing problems with his back but before this he will end his Grand Slam career in style at this week's US Open.
Tim Henman, 32, says he will not be troubled by the injury when he plays against Dmitry Tursunov on Wednesday.
Tim Henman said: "My back feels pretty good and I'm itching to get back out on court and try for another win here."
Tim Henman, who is due to play in the third match staged at the Louis Armstrong Stadium, has lost five of his six meetings with Dmitry Tursunov so far, including at Wimbledon in 2005 and earlier in Nottingham this year.
Tim Henman said of his opponent: "Dmitry can be tough to play against because he makes it difficult to get into any kind of rhythm."
