Tennis star Venus Williams struggles to beat Camille Pin

venusFormer world number one tennis star Venus Williams only just made it into the third round of the Australian Open with a very poor 7-5 6-4 win against France's Camille Pin.

Venus Williams, 27, struggled in the first set and the quality of her performance didn't get much better in the second either.

Camille Pin put on a great fight but eventually VenusWilliams managed the upper hand to claim her win.

After the game, Venus Williams, who had as many as 44 unforced errors, admitted she found it a real struggle against Camille Pin, who is the world number 90.

Venus Williams is reported to have said: "She's really a fighter, so I had to hang in there. But I finally got a little smarter in the last few games.

"At first, I think I wanted to rush a little bit too much. But finally, later in the second set, I finally realised, 'Whoa, she wants to run, well let her run', so it became a side-to-side kind of thing."
