Tennis star Venus Williams beats Alla Kudryavtseva
Tennis star Venus Williams was really struggling before she got control and defeated unseeded teenager Alla Kudryavtseva 2-6 6-3 7-5.
In fact, Venus Williams lost all of her first three service games and was a set and 2-0 down before she managed to get back on top of the game and to force a decider.
Alla Kudryavtseva, 19, took a 3-1 lead in the final set but Venus Williams battled her way back and broke in the 11th game before claiming victory.
But after the game Venus Williams was unable to explain why she had got off to such a bad start.
Venus Williams said: "My balls were just flying out and I didn't have any answers. That bothered me. Usually I can figure it out and change my game but I was like 'what am i doing wrong?'"
And Venus Williams added: "I haven't played a match in two weeks. Hopefully, I've made my mistakes in the first round and hitting balls in pressure situations will help me in the coming rounds."
