Tennis star Tim Henman plagued by injuries
Tennis star Tim Henman maintains he still really enjoys his sport despite rumours he would be retiring this week and a recent injury problem.
But Tim Henman, 32, agrees the injuries are taking their toll and he says he will end the speculation about his future or his retirement at a New York media conference this Thursday.
An injury to his back caused Tim Henman to withdraw from this week's New Haven warm-up event for the US Open and he is reported to have said: "I'm enjoying playing but my body has struggled to cope with what I've been asking it to do."
Tim Henman is currently getting ready for the final Grand Slam of the year at Flushing Meadows but if he does announce his retirement, then Britain's Davis Cup tie against Croatia from 21-23 September will be his last game.
Tim Henman has only won three matches on the ATP tour this season and his injury has been a source of frustration.
