Tennis star Tim Henman beats Andy Murray in Bangkok
Tim Henman made his first win against Andy Murray with a well-deserved 6-4 6-2 victory over the Scottish player in the first round of the Thailand Open in Bangkok.
Tim Henman, who had lost the three previous games with Andy Murray, had a powerful start and took a 5-2 opening set lead but the fourth seed bounced back to make the score 5-4 only for Henman to win the set after winning a long and crucial 10th game and he sealed his victory with the help of two early breaks in the second set.
Tim Henman, who will now take on British number four Alex Bogdanovic in the second round, has fallen to 59 in the world ratings after a very poor season but after he had to Andy Murray in Toronto and Cincinnati this year and in Switzerland in 2005, Henman was determined to stop the rot and produced a very impressive performance.
