Tennis star Roger Federer wins Swiss Indoors title
Swiss tennis star Roger Federer has won the Swiss Indoors title and ended the season as world number one for the fourth year in a row.
Roger Federer beat unseeded Finn Jarkko Nieminen 6-3 6-4 to keep his hometown title in Basle, Switzerland.
Roger Federer has now won seven titles this season, and he hadn't dropped a single set in any of his previous seven meetings with Jarkko Nieminen, who is the world number 29.
Roger Federer's win was his 52nd career title and he now ranks with Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe and Pete Sampras among tennis players who have been world number one four times in the same number of years.
Roger Federer said proudly: "It's great to win at home again,"
"I've now got the number one for another year. The crowd really helped me."
