Tennis star Rafael Nadal beats Nikolay Davydenko
Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal booked a Masters Cup semi-final meeting with Roger Federer by defeating Nikolay Davydenko 5-7 6-4 6-4 in Shanghai.
Rafael Nadal hasn't been his usual form lately and looked as if he would lose after dropping the first set with a double fault, however, an early break helped him win the second set and, after having his knee attended to by the trainer in the decider, Nadal got the decisive break at 3-3.
Rafael Nadal hailed his triumph over Nikolay Davydenko as one of his "best wins of the year" but thinks Roger Federer will provide an even more difficult opponent to beat on Saturday.
"He's playing unbelievable, he's a special player and it's going to be very difficult to win against him.
"But I will try like always. I will give 100% and we'll see because other times I've played him he's been the favourite too," Rafael Nadal said.
