Tennis star Novak Djokovic not happy with calendar
Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has been complaining about the packed ATP calendar on Saturday, after one of his opponents had to pull out, although this actually helped him get through to the final of the Rome Masters.
Radek Stepanek withdrew from his semi-final with Djokovic just a day after Nicolas Almagro also pulled out from playing against him.
Besides this Andy Roddick also had to retire in the other semi-final against Stanislas Wawrinka because of an injured back.
Djokovic claimed: "The players are not getting injured for nothing," and he added: "The players at the top and the ones who are playing a lot of matches are not happy with the schedule this year."
The additional withdrawals will fire speculation and concerns especially after world number two Rafael Nadal said on Wednesday that the crowded tennis tour schedule is too much for the players to be expected to handle.
