Tennis star Jamie Murray reaches semi-finals
British tennis star Jamie Murray along with Liezel Huber carried on their mixed doubles success as they got through to the semi-finals by defeating second seeded players Daniel Nestor and Chia-Jung Chuang.
Scottish player Murray and South African Huber easily took a 5-1 lead in the first set and they made it to a 6-4 victory.
They did drop 4-2 behind in the second set, however, perhaps encouraged by Judy Murray who was watching, the pair battled back to win five of the last six games and claim a 7-5 score before going on to defeat sixth seeds Julian Knowle and Yung-Jan Chan 6-4 6-3 in round three.
31-year-old Liezel Huber and 22-year-old defending champion Jamie Murray, who had won the 2007 title with Serbia's Jelena Jankovic, are seeded 12th.
Murray, who was sporting a new short haircut, had lost out in the men's double with partner Max Mirnyi on Monday, and he had been on the court at the same time as his brother Andy was getting defeated by Rafael Nadal in the singles quarter-finals on Centre Court.
