Tennis star Greg Rusedski's career to be decided
Former British number one tennis star Greg Rusedski says he must decide whether he will carry on playing next season.
Greg Rusedski, 33, has a long-term hip injury, which may need to be operated on, and he has lost his place in the top 200.
"My future is by no means decided and I'm still weighing up my options," said Greg Rusedski, who was defeated by Stefan Koubek in a Ukraine challenger on Wednesday.
"I feel I've got some good tennis left, but I have to listen to my body and make the right call at the right time," Greg Rusedski explained.
Greg Rusedski's ranking means he no longer qualifies automatically for ATP Tour events and his agent at IMG said she was in discussions with him regarding his schedule for next season, but nothing would be known for certain until December.
Greg Rusedski has made no secret of his desire to play at least one more Davis Cup tie at home so he may delay his retirement until after Britain's meeting with the Netherlands in April.
