Tennis star Dmitry Tursunov beats Frank Dancevic
Russian tennis star and third seed Dmitry Tursunov finished all hopes of Frank Dancevic's first ATP tour when he defeated the Canadian player 6-4 7-5 in the Indianapolis Championship final.
Frank Dancevic beat top seed Andy Roddick in the semi but his luck turned when he faced Dmitry Tursunov.
Dmitry Tursunov scored his second career victory by defeating Frank Dancevic, having also already won again in Mumbai last year.
Dmitry Tursunov said proudly: "A few years ago I would have lost it and probably walked away at the end with about one racket left. I've made some progress since then.
" "I knew I had my chances even if he was confident after beating Andy Roddick in the semi. I had to remind myself that I'm ranked 27th for a reason, not by chance."
Frank Dancevic became the first Canadian tennis star to play in an ATP final since Greg Rusedski in 1995.
A disappointed Frank Dancevic said: "I didn't return as well as I would have liked, I was nervous."
