Tennis star Andy Roddick beaten by Philipp Kohlschreiber

roddick American tennis star and sixth seeded Andy Roddick is out of the Australian Open after being beaten by Philipp Kohlschreiber following a five-set exciting match in the third round.

Andy Roddick didn't seem to be able to maintain his focus and his German opponent, Philipp Kohlschreiber, deserved to win after a four-hour battle, which finished after 0200 local time on Saturday.

Andy Roddick saved four match points in the fifth set but in the end he lost with a score of 4-6 6-3 6-7 (8-10) 7-6 (7-3) 6-8.

Philipp Kohlschreiber now goes forward to play Finnish star, Jarkko Nieminen, who defeated Mardy Fish.

"I was just thinking don't make mistakes," said Philipp Kohlschreiber.

Philipp Kohlschreiber also said proudly: "I enjoyed every second of it and both of us was doing our best to come out on top. That was just amazing. It's the best that happened to me in tennis."
