Tennis star Andy Murray pulls out of Pilot Pen

murray Tennis star Andy Murray has been forced to withdraw from next week's Pilot Pen event in New Haven due to his battle to recover from a serious wrist injury.

Andy Murray, 20, had returned to tennis after three months away from the action last week but he has already lost two of three matches since and decided it was pointless going on at this stage.

A statement on Andy Murray's website explained: "He isn't ready to play. Instead, he'll keep working hard and hopes to be ready for the US Open."

Andy Murray has been unwilling to use his forehand at its normal full strength since making his comeback in Washington last week, but said after his 6-1 6-2 defeat by Marcos Baghdatis: "I haven't had any bad reactions.

"It was feeling better, and I guess it's pretty much 100% now. It's a good sign."
