Tennis star Andy Murray continues his Qatar Open campaign

andy murray British teenage tennis star Andy Murray carries on his Qatar Open campaign on Wednesday when he faces Belgian Christophe Rochus in the second round.

Andy Murray, 19, who is ranked 17th in the world, began with a battling 4-6 6-2 6-4 victory against Filippo Volandri on Monday, although he was suffering from a cold and despite bad weather conditions.

The new match against Christophe Rochus is the first meeting between the two tennis stars.

Andy Murray and brother Jamie Murray both reached the doubles second round by defeating Marcos Baghdatis and Stanislas Wawrinka and the brothers battled back after losing the first set to win 4-6 6-1 10-5 on Tuesday under the Champions tie-break format.

Andy Murray had beaten Italian Filippo Volandri in cold conditions and he is hoping the weather gets better for his next game.

"The conditions were tough for both of us. It was very cold and a bit of wind too," Andy Murray said.
