Tennis star Andy Murray beats Thomas Johansson

andy murrayScottish tennis star Andy Murray has gone forward into round three of the Toronto Masters after he beat Swedish player Thomas Johansson with a 6-4 6-4 score on Wednesday despite bad weather, which delayed the game.

Murray had gained a bye in the first round to qualify to play against Johansson, whom he had already defeated 7-6 6-0 in Doha earlier this year.

After the game a victorious Andy Murray said: "I was happy with the way I came back. Thomas is tough on hard courts, so I knew I'd have to up my game especially in the second set when I went behind."

On Thursday night, Murray will be playing again. This time against Stanislas Wawrinka, and following that game he has a doubles match partnered by brother Jamie, against second seeds Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic.

Both Murray brothers are confirmed as contestants in the Beijing Olympics in August, and Andy said he was very excited by the prospect of playing at this prestigious event.
