Tennis star Andy Murray beats Greg Rusedski
Tennis star Andy Murray led Scotland to a second Aberdeen Cup title as the home side easily defeated England 6½-1 and he rounded off the two-day event by beating Greg Rusedski for the second time with a 6-3 6-4 win.
However, Andy Murray, who has an ongoing ankle problem, questioned the state of the Aberdeen tennis court.
"The court is dangerous to play on," Andy Murray said and added: "It's slippery and the line judges are very close to the back so I could have comfortably twisted my ankle."
Andy Murray, and brother Jamie Murray, made Scotland's victory clear in Sunday's first tie, defeating Greg Rusedski, 33, and James Auckland 6-4 3-6 13-11 in the doubles.
And Elena Baltacha and Jamie Murray then gained a point in the mixed doubles while the juniors added half a point.
On Saturday, Andy Murray had edged out Greg Rusedski in a close-fought affair 6-4 3-6 6-4 and the two tennis opponents were tied at one-set all, however, Murray broke in the 10th game of the third to clench his win.
