Tennis star Andy Murray's return to the action delayed
British tennis star Andy Murray's return to the action following a wrist injury looks as if it will have to be delayed a while longer and he may not be able to play again until the end of the month.
Andy Murray, 20, who suffered the injury to his wrist during the Hamburg Masters in May, had hoped to play a tournament in Los Angeles starting on 16 July but his mother, Judy, said: "He's got to have a little bit more rest and it's going to take a little bit longer."
In fact it seems unlikely that he will be making a comeback before the Legg Mason Classic in Washington on 29 July.
Judy Murray added: "But he's definitely on the mend. He is going to stick around in London for another week or so and see the specialist again next Wednesday, I think, before he heads out to the States.
"It's really important for him that he has the physio and specialist around him until we're absolutely sure that he is over it."
Two Grand Slam events - the French Open and Wimbledon - have already had to be cancelled in Andy Murray's diary due to the injury he is recovering from.
