Swiss tennis star Roger Federer beats Olivier Rochus

roger Swiss tennis star Roger Federer battled back after losing the first set against Belgian player Olivier Rochus to become the winner at the Estoril Open with a score of 4-6 6-3 6-2.

Olivier Rochus broke Roger Federer in the seventh game of the match because of two impressive backhand returns down the line but world number one Roger Federer got back in control in the second set when his Belgian opponent sent a backhand wide.

Roger Federer then went on to make errors in the deciding set, but still managed to win in the end.

But Roger Federer's performance during the second half of the first set had its problems and he afterwards admitted: "It was disappointing the way I played the first set but what can you do?"

However, Roger Federer - whose serve was his main weapon throughout the game - recovered more of the form he is known for from the start of the second set and he went on to be the winner.
