Swiss star Roger Federer to face Pete Sampras in Malaysia
Swiss tennis star Roger Federer will face Pete Sampras, who has been a Wimbledon winner seven times, in an exhibition match to take place in, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November.
World number one Roger Federer, 26, has just won his 12th Grand Slam title at the US Open last week and following the game he revealed that he is aiming to beat Pete Sampras's record of 14.
The match between Roger Federer and Pete Sampras, 36, takes place on 22 November and will be played at night in the Malawati Stadium on a medium speed indoor carpet.
"Roger is a true class act," Pete Sampras said and he added: "He is obviously a great player but his manners on and off the court set him apart just as much."
Roger Federer and Pete Sampras had played each other only once before when Roger Federer won a five-set game in the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2001, however, the two tennis stars have practised together earlier on this year at Pete Sampras's LA home.
