Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal beats Marcos Baghdatis
Spanish tennis star and world number two Rafael Nadal battled his way back from a set down to claim victory over Cypriot player Marcos Baghdatis in the first round of the Dubai Open.
Nicknamed "Rafa" and born in Manorca, Mallorca, Rafael Nadal has an impressive clay-court winning streak, having won 62-matches in his career, but he found it a struggle at first in the Dubai Open.
Rafael Nadal was broken in the first and seventh games, but two breaks of his own saw him level the score in the second and he came through in the third to win with a score of 3-6 6-2 6-3.
Rafael Nadal was happy with how he had performed and commented: "I was coming out of a long break, and it showed in the first set. It took me some time to get my rhythm on the court.
"Baghdatis is a very good player, and I am happy that I have passed the opening test."
