Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal beat Carlos Moya

nadal Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal will go on to play against Novak Djokovic in the French Open semi-finals after defeating compatriot player Carlos Moya 6-4 6-3 6-0.

Although Carlos Moya, 30, played well he was was unable to cope with a barrage from Rafael Nadal and was forced into 41 errors. Rafael Nadal, 21, showed no mercy in the third set, allowing his opponent just 14 points.

Carlos Moya was broken at 2-2 but he came back fighting before a relentless Rafael Nadal took back his control of the game to make it 4-3.

Rafael Nadal, making reference to his recent loss to Roger Federer, said: "I'm playing better than I was last year, even if I did lose in Hamburg."

Rafael Nadal needed just over two hours to defeat Carlos Moya, the 1998 champion.
