Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal accepts his losses
Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal is resigned to losing his world number two position to Novak Djokovic by Wimbledon at the latest.
Nadal lost the valuable points he needed when his defence of the Rome Masters title came to an end in the second round, when his Serbian opponent won it.
21-year-old Rafael Nadal, speaking of Djokovic said: "The logical thing is that he goes past me here in Hamburg, or at Roland Garros or Wimbledon."
Earlier this season, Nadal had actually had the chance of surpassing world number one Roger Federer, who at the time had had a bad start to this year's campaign, but now he has many ranking points to defend from now up until Wimbledon and any drop means his Serbian rival will move on up.
Rafael Nadal, who is known as the world's best player on clay, has been recently criticizing the calendar for tennis this year because he thinks it is far too crammed with dates.
