Scottish tennis star Andy Murray beats American Sam Querrey

andy murrayScottish tennis player Andy Murray has just made an impressive 6-1 6-4 victory against his opponent Sam Querrey from America at the Kooyong Classic.

The game against Querrey has served as a successful warm-up for the forthcoming Australian Open in which Murray is hoping to continue his success and will be taking part in next. The Scotsman is also hoping for his first Grand Slam title this year.

Juan Martin Del Potro and Robin Soderling were both unable to take part at Kooyong because they were suffering from injuries. Del Potro had hurt his wrist, and Soderling was having trouble from an injured elbow.

Sweden's Soderling was beaten in the first set with a 6-4 score to Croatian star Ivan Ljubicic and he retired from the game, and Del Potro was forced to pull out of his match against Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
