Scotsman Andy Murray faces Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero

andy murrayScotsman Andy Murray is aiming to get through to the semi-finals of Wimbledon for the first time ever when he faces Spain's Juan Carlos Ferrero on Centre Court on Wednesday.

22-year-old Murray is playing against Ferrero in the second match and although he defeated Ferrero easily in the Queen's Club semi-finals a fortnight back he knows he cannot assume he will win again because the Spaniard is a tough opponent to beat.

Murray is hoping he can become the first British man to win the Wimbledon singles title since Fred Perry achieved this way back in 1936.

Because Murray is so hotly-tipped as favourite this year tennis fans have been queuing up to get the 500 tickets Centre Court tickets.

So far this week Murray has beaten Stanislas Wawrinka when he won his fourth-round match on Monday. Now he just hopes to keep on winning.
