Justine Henin beats Emilie Loit at Paris Open
Belgian tennis star Justine Henin, in her first comeback match since November, battled back from being a set down to defeat Emilie Loit in the second round of the Paris Open.
World number two Justin Henin, in spite of a bad start soon found her ability again and won the second set with an impressive drop volley before claiming victory in the decider.
Justine Henin served 14 aces in total to claim a 3-6 6-2 6-2 win and to book her place in the quarter-finals.
"In the first set I just wasn't playing. I didn't take the initiative," explained Justine Henin, recalling how she had played, and she added: "I waited a while and then my level rose. I was very happy after that.
"I played the first set on the defensive without being positive but then I started volleying more and hitting more to her backhand.
"But I didn't move well and was a lot slower around the court than before."
With this victory against Emilie Loit now behind her Justine Henin has made an impressive return to tennis.
