Justine Henin-Hardenne faces Anastasia Myskina in French Open
Justine Henin-Hardenne will be facing Anastasia Myskina in the last 16 of the French Open after both tennis stars posted straight-sets wins on Saturday.
Justine Henin-Hardenne came through 6-4 6-0 against Tathiana Garbin, who had finished the Belgian's title defence in the second round in 2004.
Ex-champion Anastasia Myskina made good on her recent revival with a convincing 6-2 6-3 win over 18-year-old player Ana Ivanovic.
Former Russian president Boris Yeltsin watched Anastasia Myskina.
"I have never lost in front of him," said Anastasia Myskina.
"He congratulated me and said I played really well and that he was really happy. He's the biggest fan of tennis I've known," Anastasia Mysinka added.
Justine Henin-Hardenne's shocking loss to Tathiana Garbin in 2004 was the earliest a top seeded player had lost at the French Open since the introduction of seedings in 1925.
"I try not to think about what happened two years ago," said Justine Henin-Hardenne.
