John McEnroe aims to play Royal Albert Hall again
Veteran American tennis legend John McEnroe says he plans to play at London's Royal Albert Hall for at least one more year, although he was beaten in the quarter-final by Paul Haarhuis on Friday.
Paul Haarhuis defeated John McEnroe with a 6-2 6-3 score and now progresses to the BlackRock Masters Tennis semi-finals.
John McEnroe, 48, was asked if his playing days were over and he responded: "Could be. I'm not getting any younger."
However, he added: "I'm definitely not going to say that I won't be here next year because I think I can at least play one more and then we'll see."
John McEnroe has already won the Albert Hall tournament four times in his incredible career, and he went on to say: "I'm going to pick and choose my events next year.
"If I can get the balance right between rest in-between events, staying in shape and playing, I think I can still beat anyone out there."
