German tennis star Tommy Haas beats Scot Andy Murray
German tennis star Tommy Haas has defeated Scottish player Andy Murray who was compelled to surrender a one-set lead in the Pacific Life Open and lose by a score of 2-6 7-5 6-3.
Andy Murray, 20, had begun well and won the opening set but he lost his control in the second set leaving Tommy Haas to claim a 4-1 lead.
Then, even though Andy Murray recovered the break, Tommy Haas broke again to level the score.
Andy Murray went on to miss five break points in the decider, whilst his opponent Tommy Haas broke him to love and won the match.
A disappointed Andy Murray said after the game was over: "If I had played a bit more aggressively in the third set - like I did in the first set - then I would have won the match."
Tommy Haas was making his comeback from shoulder surgery so it was all the more impressive that he beat Andy Murray.
