Gael Monfils victorious at a rainy French Open
Gael Monfils cheered up the Paris audience on another day of problems with rain when he scored a dramatic victory in round two of the French Open.
Gael Monfils, 19, who had already beaten British tennis star Andy Murray in the first round, fought back from two sets to one down and ensured a decider against Dick Norman from Belgium.
In fact, 25th seed Gael Monfils came back from a break down in the fifth set to come through with a score of 4-6 6-3 6-7 6-0 7-5.
However, the delays due to the bad weather caused Rafael Nadal's game against Kevin Kim to be postponed.
Former world number one Lleyton Hewitt didn't have much trouble it seemed making it through to the third round when he beat Mathieu Montcourt 7-5 6-3 6-3.
Lleyton Hewitt played despite his recent ankle complaint and suffered only one thing against him - a set point given in the first set, but he wasn't troubled again after that and now will play against Dominik Hrbaty.
