Croatian tennis star Mario Ancic for China Open
Croatian tennis star Mario Ancic has confirmed his place in the China Open final and will be continuing his impressive return to the action after time away due to injury.
Mario Ancic, 22, was playing his first event for two months after hurting his knee on a yacht back in June, and he fought his way past South Korean Lee Hyung-taik 4-6 6-1 6-1.
Lee Hyung-taik, who beat top seed Ivan Ljubicic in the last eight, broke Mario Ancic twice in taking the opening set, however, Ancic never looked back after breaking twice in the second and clenching his victory when Lee put a forehand wide.
Mario Ancic is currently aiming for his second ATP title of the year as well as a place at the season-ending Masters Cup and he will be meeting the winner of the other semi-final between Marco Baghdatis and Paradorn Srichaphan.
