Belgian tennis star Kirsten Flipkens faces Francesca Schiavone
Belgian tennis star and world number 98 Kirsten Flipkens will open for her country when the Fed Cup final against Italy begins in Charleroi on Saturday and she will face world number 14 Francesca Schiavone from Italy.
Next up are Justine Henin-Hardenne playing against Flavia Pennetta.
"I want to play first, always," said Francesca Schiavone. "We are very focused and are here to take the cup home."
Kim Clijsters is injured so Kirsten Flipkens, Caroline Maes and Leslie Butkiewicz complete the line-up from Belgium.
Francesca Schiavone is the top-ranked player in the Italian team, which also includes Flavia Pennetta, Mara Santangelo and Roberta Vinci.
Justine Henin-Hardenne, who missed the semi-final win over America because of fatigue, says she is glad to be in front of her home fans at the 6,000-capacity Spiroudome.
"I don't have a lot of time to get used to the surface and the conditions but we play at home and it is going to be an advantage to us," Justine Henin-Hardenne said.
