Argentinean tennis star Gisela Dulko wins in Budapest
Argentinean tennis player Gisela Dulko won her first WTA title with a 6-7 6-2 6-2 comeback victory against Romanian Sorana Cirstea in the final of the Budapest Grand Prix.
Although she lost the opening set Gisela Dulko fought back to win four successive games to create an impressive lead for the next.
Gisela Dulko said proudly but paying tribute to her opponent: "I'm really happy because this is my first WTA title, I feel really excited now,
"I want to congratulate Sorana. She is a great talent and I'm sure she is going to play many more finals."
Gisela Dulko had lost her last two finals in Hobart back in 2005 and at the Pattaya Open in February.
Sorana Cirstea had lost to Gisela Dulko at their last and only meeting before, when qualifying in Zurich last year, but she was still contented with how it had turned out and she said happily: "This is just my third WTA tournament and nobody expected me to be here in the final."
So besides being a memorable success for Gisela Pulko it was also a happy day for Sorana Cirstea.
